- Worldwide. A welder can be on site in Europe in 3 to 4 days
- Based in Herne, experience since 2006
Large components. Multiple passes.
Large components need controlled work, pass by pass. We weld machines, components and industrial steel structures, and undertake weld repairs and surfacing on worn parts.

Frequently asked questions
Brief answers.
What is the difference between MIG and MAG?
Both processes use a consumable wire electrode. MIG uses an inert shielding gas; MAG uses an active one. MAG is commonly used for unalloyed and low-alloy steels. Herdi provides both processes.
Do you weld very large components too?
Yes. Large machines and components, along with extensive welded structures, are among our main MIG/MAG applications.
Do you offer weld surfacing on worn parts?
Yes, weld repairs and surfacing are part of our services.
Key terms explained
- MIG
- Metal inert gas welding. A consumable wire electrode is fed under inert shielding gas.
- MAG
- Metal active gas welding. The same principle with an active shielding gas, commonly used for unalloyed and low-alloy steels.
- Weld surfacing
- Weld metal is deposited onto a surface to build up worn areas or restore components.
